ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
During 2002, volunteer Mary Lou Duke stepped forward to begin a fresh new inventory of North Belton Cemetery, with the assistance of her mother. This basically entailed walking to each grave, documenting the inscription and adding it to a database. With cemetery manager Roy Steger's permission, we are making this database and plot map available for researchers on the TXBELL website! Please join us in thanking Mary Loufor completing this monumental task. We also extend our gratitude to Roy Steger for his cooperation and participation in this project.
On April 14 2002, a group of volunteers gathered at North
Belton Cemetery in Bell County, TX to assist with the recording of these 8,082 graves. Our work session completed a considerable portion
of the old section of the cemetery. Thanks to all the great volunteers
for helping Mary Lou put this valuable free resource on the web for researchers!

Since that time, Mary Lou has completed the recording
of the old and new sections and transcribed it all. Below are
links to the text files of the entire inventory, effective summer of 2002:
Lot numbers 1 through 603 located in Old Section
Lot numbers 605A through 647 located in Old Section
Lot numbers 1-1050 located in New Section
If you are visiting North Belton Cemetery for the first time, the old section is in the front near Main Street and the new section is at the back of the cemetery. Below are links to graphics of the plot maps we currently have. It is recommended you download them (right click on each link and "save link as") and use a graphics viewing program to zoom in. Please be aware if you have a slow connection that these are relatively large files. We are hoping to eventually acquire high quality scans of the plot maps in the cemetery office and make them available via Adobe format. Once you locate an individual in the text files above, just use the referenced plot number on one of these two plot maps:
