ADDITIONAL INFO
Hill Cemetery is a secluded and somewhat neglected cemetery between Belton and Temple off Dusty Lane, near Charter Oak Dr (aka Waco Rd or FM 817). The cemetery is not far from the historical Bell County Charter Oak. This cemetery is still in use, but the older sections were hidden in weeds when I visited. It's larger than the pictures may indicate.
JULY 2005 UPDATE: Thanks to Glenn Nellis and other local scouts, this cemetery has benefited from a major cleanup this month. Great work, guys! (The Temple Daily-Telegram had an article about the project.) Mary Duke went out there immediately and performed a new inventory of markers, which has been added to our archives section. Thanks, Mary!
